New Addition to the Family

Introducing, Pooh, my new Crowntail Betta fish! Nanny and Pa got it for me for Valentine's Day! At first I was going to name him, Leroy. Not sure where I came up with that, but I decided to go with Pooh! He lives in my room and is a beautiful blue!

Blankie's Story

Can you guess which one is mine?
Mommy went in panic mode the other day when she couldn't find her "Blankie". Eventually, she found it and told me the story of this very special blanket. Grandma McMillin (Pa's Mommy) made Mommy a blanket when she was born. Mommy was born in 1976, the year of the Bicentennial. So, Grandma used red, white and blue in the blanket. Mommy loved her "Blankie" and took it everywhere with her. Grandma made Mommy a replica of her Blankie, so she could give it to her baby some day. Lucky for me! Mommy covers me up with it and says that it's Grandma's way of sending me hugs from Heaven!

Happy Heart Day

Lots of love flowing at the Runge house this Valentine's Day! Nanny, Pa and Nana made a visit! Mommy made some yummy "HOT" Tortilla Soup! Nanny and Nana couldn't stop laughing because it was a bit too spicy for them. Mommy forgot to omit the adobe pepper seeds. OOPS! That's my Mommy, always trying to spice things up a bit! We finished it off with Mommy and Daddy's Annual Valentine Lobster Bake! I helped Mommy pick out the lobsters. (I kept calling them "hamsters" for some reason!) I helped Daddy with the preparations, but wasn't willing to taste test yet!

Craft Hour

Mommy and I made a trip to Michael's and stocked up on crafts! I picked out birdhouses for Daddy, Nanny and Pa. They made the perfect Valentine's gifts! I impressed Mommy with my painting! We also made Shrinky Dinks afterwards. I had fun watching them change shape in the oven. I can't wait for tomorrow's Craft Hour. Daddy and I are building a model car! It's a '68 Corvette Convertible!

Country Fried Heaven

Fried Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich

Hot Beef Sundae!?!?!?!

Chicken Fried Bacon

Mommy could not get over the fried food offerings at the San Antonio Rodeo! They even had Fried Candy Bars! She talked Alfonso and Daddy into trying the Chicken Fried Bacon and salivated over the oozing peanut butter from the Acosta's PB&J. I think Mommy was the only one walking away with clear arteries for the day!

Christopher Comes to Town

Nana and Christopher surprised me for a weekend visit! I was over the moon to see them at our door! Christopher and I played for hours and Daddy took us out on the golf cart. It was awful cold, so we had to bundle up! I am pretty particular about having my gloves on just right and my hood just so. Wonder who I get that from? Daddy made us laugh with his funny winter hat!
