We started the week long birthday festivities this weekend!

First Boat Ride

"Do I have to wear this bulky thing? I am already really hot!"

"Please take me back! I would much rather take a nap!"

I went on my first boat ride on Lake Medina last weekend. I had such a great time hanging out at the lake with my Nana, Papa, Uncle Andy, Aunt Laura and cousin Christopher. Daddy showed me how to fish and I touched one for the first time! I had a ball walking around and playing with Christopher. I don't know about the boat ride though. I was pretty tired and a little sweaty! I was so happy when mommy and daddy put me in the car for a nappy!

A Day at the Witte Museum

Mommy and I had a fun day with our friend Amy at the Witte Museum. It started off with a yummy lunch! Amy shared her strawberries with me, but I am not sure about them yet. I think I will stick to bananas for now! It was great fun seeing the artifacts, especially the mummy. Doesn't look anything like my "mummy" though! Good times spent with special friends!

Daddy Turns 31!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday yesterday! I love birthdays! I helped Daddy open his present and loved watching him blow out his candles! Mommy and I were busy all day getting ready for the big party. We bought Daddy some really cool Lucheesy cowboy boots. I had fun helping Mommy bake his cake and prepare a yummy salmon dinner. Too bad I put my fingers under Daddy's chair leg and almost gave Mommy a heart attack. I only cried for a minute and thought it brought some excitement to the evening! Mommy is going to have to get over her fears. I am a boy and am going to get ouchies now and then!

I love to walk! I am really getting the hang of this! However, I wish Mommy wouldn't make me wear these bulky things on my feet! Shoes...zapatos they are called! I much rather go around barefoot! It's a whole new world now and it makes it easier opening the cabinet doors when you are on your feet!

Well, I better get a nap before Mommy and I go to the Botanical Gardens. That is if this rain lets up! I love it! I get a kick out of running in the rain with Mommy! She hoots and hollers! It's so funny!

San Antonio Zoo

Love the zoo! So many fun animals and interesting things to explore! My favorite thing was the aquarium. I love fishies! Mommy likes to watch the monkeys and the giraffes. Daddy likes the bears and lions. We had a fun time and I can't wait to go back!
